Voting Absentee
Anyone can vote absentee in Cheverly!
Request an absentee ballot by filling out this form.
This form must be received by close of business on April 24, 2023 in order to obtain a mail-in ballot for the May 5, 2025 election. In-person ballot pick-up must be done by April 28, 2023.
It is highly recommended that any application submitted after April 17, 2025, should opt for in-person pick-up.
Vote by returning your filled-out ballot in the provided envelope in any of the following ways:
- By mail to The Town of Cheverly, 6401 Forest Road, Cheverly, MD 20785
- By dropping the envelope into the Town of Cheverly ballot box which will be posted in front of Town Hall
Registering to Vote
Qualified voters in the Town of Cheverly must be:
- at least 16 years of age on or before election day
- a resident of Cheverly for at least 30 days prior to the election
- not convicted of a disqualifying crime
- not be under the guardianship for mental disability
To be eligible to vote in the Town election, you must register to vote in one of two ways:
- Register to vote in Maryland before April 1, 2025, at your current Cheverly address.
- Look up your voter registration on the Maryland State Board of Elections website
- Register to vote online
